THE FELIX PROJECT
NORTH LONDON
The Felix Project is an inspirational London based charity redistributing surplus food to the poor and vulnerable through over 120 charities and community kitchens throughout the Capital. They are growing at an extraordinary rate and at the moment are dealing with about 3 tons of food a day and last year supplied enough food for 1 million free meals.
The Project recently opened a hub in Enfield where they collect donations of surplus fresh produce that the supermarkets, wholesalers and farms can't sell and would otherwise be disposed of. Collections from shops and producers and deliveries to charities and other organisations are all made free of charge, Monday to Friday. They need volunteers and local producers and suppliers to offer their surplus food for collection. Read more here.
