NEW NORTH LONDON HUB FOR THE FELIX PROJECT - HELP NEEDED!

stanhopeprimarymarket.jpg

The Felix Project is an inspirational London based charity redistributing surplus food to the poor and vulnerable through over 120 charities and community kitchens throughout the Capital.  They're mission is to reduce waste and poverty. They are growing at an extraordinary rate and at the moment are dealing with about 3 tons of food a day and last year supplied enough food for 1 million free meals.

NEW HUB IN ENFIELD

The Project recently opened a hub in Enfield where they collect donations of surplus fresh produce that the supermarkets, wholesalers and farms can't sell for reasons such as; damaged packaging, Best Before Dates being too short for retailers to sell, or a big surplus of items that won't sell and would otherwise be disposed of.  Collections from shops and producers and deliveries to charities and other organisations are all made free of charge, Monday to Friday.

SCHOOLS PROJECT

There are tens of thousands of children who go to school hungry each day and The Felix Project are about to launch a project that aims to deliver surplus food to 120 schools in London, including many in North London.

HELP NEEDED

The Project is currently in need of volunteers for its Enfield Hub and are also looking for food producers and suppliers who may want to partner.
