What a day! A huge thank you to everyone who came to the launch of the Forty Hall Farmers Market, including Mayor Christine Hamilton who cut our ribbon ( a green one of course) and all the fantastic traders who fed and served a crowd of well over 2,500 with an array of produce from raw milk to kimchi to wild venison.
We were so overwhelmed by the turnout that the Farm's Enfield Veg Co. had to make a dash for the market garden to pick some more rhubarb and most of our streetfood stalls sold out by mid afternoon - so apologies to those of you who turned up later in the day looking for lunch, but we hope you'll return on June 10th when we'll be opening the farm gates from 10am - 3pm for the next farmers market when we'll be welcoming some more new traders, including Brockleby's Pies. Forty Hall Vineyard will have their new release of Ortega and Bacchus white wines. We'll also be welcoming Ruth Nieman, author of The Galilean Kitchen for a book signing. More details here.
