UPDATE:
Due to the snow the event was sadly cancelled but Angela Clutton's festive egg nog recipe is here.
On December 10th we welcome food historian and food writer Angela Clutton to The Food Gatherer's Christmas food market at Forty Hall Farm. Angela will be hosting a round table demo, celebrating and sharing her recipe for the ultimate festive tipple - eggnog!
Those of you who attended the Enfield Food Festival on August Bank Holiday may have seen one of Angela's fantastic demonstrations, creating heritage dishes with a selection of Forty Hall Orchard's apple varieties and culinary magic from foraged finds from the Farm.
We are delighted to welcome Angela back to the Farm for a festive workshop for our Winter event, demonstrating how to make that vintage cocktail classic, eggnog!
Now, we realise that some of you of a certain generation may have some fairly bad memories of eggnog, but Angela assures that hers is the, "Eggnog of festive dreams!" and once you try the recipe, you will be a convert to the silky smooth festive tipple.
So come and join Angela from 12.00 pm for her round table workshop and see how it's done, we'll even have a recipe card for you to take home and create your own festive dream at home!
The Food Gatherer's winter food market is a new addition to Forty Hall Farm's popular annual afternoon of wreath making. We invite you to come along for some festive fun on the farm, lunch and a tipple then pick up some foody gifts and local produce to take home along with your door wreath.
Angela Clutton is the co-chair of the Guild of Food Writers & hosts the Borough Market Cookery Club https://onhotbutteredtoast.com
